It is the latest title from the horror franchise that has been remade for modern devices. And the gameplay showcased in the trailer for Final Fantasy 16 showed a focus more on action set-pieces than the roleplaying elements that the franchise is famous for. These titles won’t be available on shelves until 2023. This will frustrate some, as there has been criticism of the PlayStation console’s limited number of games that are exclusively designed for it. Microsoft used its showcase for footage from a variety experiences, including the driving simulator Forza Motorsport, which is the latest in the realistic racing series. By announcing so many experiences in one night, Microsoft tried to tackle the traditional criticism labelled against its consoles - that there are not enough exclusive titles to play on Xbox machines. The two companies were the first to share the same platform. Redfall, Bethesda's survival shooting game, was the first title displayed. It kicked off the event in frantic, fast-paced action gameplay. Harvey Smith, the studio director for Arkane Austin, said that being part of an event with many games on display is exciting but that there's always a lot of pressure. Redfall's multiplayer slaying of vampires is a metaphor to the world's inequalities he said. A tiny percentage of people in the world have all the power.
